Research Interests

Since 2002 I was working in the area of security in sensor networks and pervasive computing systems. During my Ph.D. I investigated algorithms for achieving security on devices with highly constrained ressources. After my Ph.D. I continued working in the area of security. However, I shifted my focus from sensor networks to peer-to-peer (P2P) networks used for distributed computing or distributed smulations. My main concern with these P2P-networks are the security issues due to untrusted nature of all participating peers, i.e. cheating and malicious behaviour.
